At Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust they provide a range of vital health and care services, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health, and all-age disability care, alongside operating three GP surgeries. They have services across Wirral and Cheshire, as well as Trafford, Warrington, Bolton, Halton and Liverpool and provide specialist services across the North West. They are a complex organisation with over 14,700 members, employ more than 4,500 staff across 73 sites, serving a population of over one million people with their highly specialist services serving a population of two million.
About the roles
They are delighted to be seeking two person-centred Non-Executive Directors to join their dynamic and nurturing board. For one role they are seeking an individual with a clinical leadership background in any discipline; for this role, experience and insight into some of the services provided by their Trust will be advantageous.
For the second role they are interested in hearing from individuals with established board level experience ideally with experience as a Non-Executive Director; an individual who can offer their fresh strategic perspective to their board whilst appreciating the governance and assurance demands of a board position. For this role they are open to leaders from either public, third or private sector backgrounds with experience that complements their strategy and values. In particular they welcome expertise in areas including strategic partnerships, service innovation, corporate governance or digital leadership. For both roles a commitment to inclusion and shared values will be essential.
Their Non-Executive Directors bring independence of thought, curiosity and compassion to their roles; offering constructive challenge as well as support, to their talented executive team. Comfortable in challenging at board level in complex organisations, you will be politically astute, creative, and focused on quality. You will bring a genuine commitment to patients and to reducing health and workforce inequalities.
