NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB): Non-Executive Directors x 3

Closing Date: 9am, Monday 9 March 2026

About the organisation

NHS West Yorkshire ICB serves 2.4 million people across Bradford District and Craven, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield. They are proud of their collaborative progress and national reputation for innovation, while recognising the continued need to tackle inequalities and make the greatest possible impact with their resources as a strategic commissioner.

These opportunities to join their Board as one of three new Non‑Executive Members comes at a critical time of reform within the NHS and the wider health and care system. They are focused on managing the risks and securing the opportunities of their central role as a strategic commissioner in delivering the ambitions of Fit for the Future (the 10 Year Plan for the NHS) and their local Partnership’s priorities,

About the roles

They are seeking individuals who bring fresh perspectives, strong values and a genuine commitment to making a difference. You should have senior‑level transferable experience in large, complex environments, an understanding of health and care, and a strong track record of partnership working.

One role will chair their Finance, Contracting and Performance Committee and Audit and Risk Committee, requiring a leader who is a qualified accountant.

For the other two positions, they welcome candidates with broad and relevant board‑level experience gained in the private, public or third sector.

Above all, you will offer sound judgement, independence of thought and the confidence to provide constructive challenge. Your insight, curiosity and integrity will help strengthen their Board and support delivery of high‑quality, integrated care.

They are committed to increasing the diversity of their leadership so that it is representative of the population they serve in West Yorkshire and particularly welcome applications from people who identify as LGBTQ+; who have a disability; and people from an ethnically diverse background.

These roles offer a rare opportunity to shape the future of health and care and contribute to reducing inequalities across West Yorkshire.
