Closing Date: 20th March 2023
Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s (LUHFT) Board of Directors are seeking to appoint a new Non-Executive Director with digital expertise.
Do you have the experience and expertise to provide scrutiny, oversight and support through the Board as the organisation embarks on implementing a significant programme of digital improvement?
As one of the largest NHS trusts in the country, they are looking to appoint an individual with relevant Board-level experience, preferably gained as a member of a Board in a large or complex organisation.
You will share their values – caring, fair and innovative – as they build a culture where all of our 13,500 colleagues can thrive. You will embrace the opportunity to role model their values and behaviours in all your internal and external interactions.
You will have recent senior or board level experience in a digitally focused leadership role with experience of applying this to large-scale improvement. In addition, you will need to have a genuine commitment to digital and the promotion of a digitally led organisation.
As a member of the unitary board, you will need to be able to demonstrate your ability to:
· work alongside other Executive and Non-Executive Directors as a member of the unitary Board;
· bring independence, external perspectives, skills and challenge to strategy development;
· hold the executive to account by providing purposeful, constructive scrutiny and challenge;
· act as an ambassador for the Trust; and
· shape and actively support a healthy culture for the Trust.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to make a positive difference at an exciting time for the Trust.
Applications will be assessed on merit, as part of a fair and open process from the widest possible pool of candidates. The information provided by applications will be relied upon to assess whether sufficient personal responsibility and achievement have been demonstrated in previous/other roles to satisfy the experience being sought.
The best Boards are those that reflect the workforce and communities they serve. They particularly welcome applications from women, people from local black, Asian and minority ethnic communities, and people with disabilities who we know are all under-represented in board roles.See the recruitment pack for more information.
