As Non-Executive Directors, we have a responsibility to seek assurance that the Executive is providing the best care and services to patients and service users. Using a “race lens”, the Seacole Group focusses on topics and areas of interest regarding outcomes for people from BAE communities in particular areas, accessing certain services . Successfully launched our pioneering Young NEDS programme

Created a mentoring programme for new and aspirant NEDs and Chairs

Published a report in partnership with Hunter Healthcare exploring the BAE NEDs recruitment experience and beyond

Produced a 'Recruiting for Diversity Guide' which was circulated to all NHS providers

Engaged with Chief Medical Officer and Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport on vaccination hesitancy and maternal outcomes for ethnic women
